Sleep Studies In The Sydney Region

Now you can get a full diagnostic sleep study in the comfort, privacy and convenience of your home, anywhere in Sydney!

There are several excellent sleep clinics in Sydney where first-class polysomnograms (diagnostic sleep studies) can be done.  However, they all require an overnight stay in a hospital or clinical environment.

This means a different mattress and pillow, as well as different sounds and smells.

It is common for people to have difficulty sleeping in a strange environment like this, which has an adverse effect on their diagnostic results. Many patients simply cannot sleep while being observed, so their sleep studies often need to be repeated.

At Sleep Clinic Services we believe the best place to determine how you typically sleep is where you typically sleep. So we provide diagnostic sleep studies in your home, anywhere in the Sydney metro area.

How to Have a Home Sleep Apnea Test Done in Sydneywheel-1

Over the past decade, Sleep Clinic Services has served people all around Australia, from capital cities to mining camps and remote rural properties. We serve the Sydney metropolitan area from Castle Hill to Penrith, and from Engadine to Surry Hills.

A diagnostic sleep study (polysomnography) is conducted with our portable and user-friendly diagnostic equipment. This is not just a screening; it's a true diagnostic sleep study which measures the following:

  • Your heart and brain activity,
  • The amount of oxygen in your blood (which drops during certain sleep events),
  • The number of pauses in your breathing,
  • Your sleep position, limb movements, and more.

Can A Home-Based Sleep Study Help Me?

Children, people with complex conditions, and those with disabilities should have their sleep studies conducted where technicians can assist if necessary. But other patients can receive virtually the same diagnostic results from home-based diagnostic sleep studies.

Give us a call and we'll help you determine which is best for you.

Does Medicare help with a home-based sleep study?
A generous contribution is available for eligible patients. We will do a free eligibility check when you call.
How much does it cost?

Your home-based diagnostic sleep study costs vary depending on where you live and whether you qualify for Medicare.

This is a very cost-effective option. In most cases, it is much more affordable than driving to a sleep study site, parking, consulting with a physician, and other costs.

How long do I have to wait?
Home-based sleep studies have the advantage of being faster than sleep clinics. Some areas in Australia have waiting lists of up to two years for hospital-based studies. With us, most of the time, you can normally have it done in a week.
Why should I choose you?
Our Google rating is the highest in Australia. We have been helping Australians for over a decade and we are a preferred supplier to the Royal Flying Doctor Service; it's the reason we've been accredited as training providers for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, and it's also why we're often chosen to conduct sleep tests and treatments for employees' safety and health.
